Socialization Camp

Socialization is the most important factor in your dog’s life. A poorly socialized dog often develops behavior problems that could have been prevented by properly introducing him to other dogs and people. Dogs that have not been properly socialized are often scared in new situations, shy away from strangers, submissively urinate on the floor when they are being approached, dislike cats, dogs and children and some of them even become fear aggressive just to name a few.

This all can be avoided by getting your dog used to new situations and by giving him the opportunity to explore new things at his own comfort.

We have developed a  program that will help a great deal to socialize your dog! While your dog is staying with us as part of our family, he/she will be introduced to new situations on a daily basis. We will take your dog to many different places, such as pet-stores, a farm, shopping center etc. The whole time we make sure that your dog feels comfortable and only positive contact is made to enforce positive experiences for your dog (which in return will change your dog’s behavior into a happy and friendly one). At the same time, we enforce basic obedience commands (such as sitting before going through the door or in the car, sitting politely for petting etc.). However, no additional obedience commands are being taught during this time other than the ones he already knows.

Socialization Camp is a 14-28 day program, during  which your dog will be introduced to all of the following:

Socialization Camp is $1099 for 14 days, everything included. You may also enroll for 4 weeks of Socialization Camp.

In order to enroll in this program, your dog MUST KNOW ALL BASIC OBEDIENCE COMMANDS and be able to walk on a loose leash. If your dog is already aggressive, over  1 year old and has other behavior problems we require a behavior evaluation to be done before you can enroll your dog into this program. Your dog will then be evaluated for temperament, obedience skills, confidence level and seriousness of behavior problems. During this evaluation, we will discuss with you whether or not socialization camp is suitable for your dog and what the success rate is going to be.
